Join Us for Short and Long Walks in the Surrey Hills & North Downs

We’re offering fortnightly short weekday walks for those who’d like to explore the Surrey Hills and North Downs Way with a guide. Fortnighlty, we'll run longer 6-hour walks (a.k.a. Trek Training Days) for those training for a trek or who simply want to cover more distance.
If you’re keen to discover more of the stunning Surrey countryside, come along and join us.

Short Walks

• Duration: Approx. 3.5 hours (distance depends on group speed)
• Group size: Up to 20 people (subject to current social distancing guidelines)

These walks have a mix of ascents and descents – nothing too difficult, but plenty of great views along the way.

We meet at various locations near Shere. Just bring sturdy walking boots/shoes, water, a light snack, breathable clothing, and a waterproof jacket if the weather looks iffy.

If you'd like, we’ll lend you walking poles to try out.

You will receive an email roughly three days prior to the start day which will let you know where to meet. All of the meeting locations are local to Shere.

• When: Fortnightly on Friday mornings

Long Walks a.k.a. Trek Training Days

We’re also offering a 15 mile walk in the Surrey Hills and North Downs every fortnight. These walks last up to 6 hours, so make sure you bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids.

You will receive and email roughly three days prior to the start date which will highlight what to bring with you etc. Please note that if you need to go through your kit list for a trek then you will need to arrive at the shop at least an hour beforehand i.e 9.00am but you will need to let us know via our email sales@trekhireuk.com or just give us a call on 01483 209559
